Workshop | An Afternoon of Community Rowing in New York Harbor
At this community rowing session, after a brief orientation, participants will be assigned to a crew with an experienced coxswain to steer the boat and a mixture of experienced and new rowers. The boats, Whitehall gigs, are stable, traditional working boats for four rowers and a coxswain. No experience is necessary and rowers of all ability levels are welcome! The rowing sessions last several hours and are designed to be excursions: groups row against the tide to a destination, take a break onshore or in a protected cove, then return home with the tide. Her play Red Handed was performed off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse, and her play Rose of the World was read at the Elif Collective. She is a past reader and editor at West 10th and X-RAY literary magazines.

Hundreds of women of all different ages and backgrounds meet to simply go for a walk in Central Park. About 80% of the women show up alone, so feel free to give it a try! Rzeznik tells the history of St. Vincent's Hospital -- which served the Greenwich Village community for over 160 years -- and reflects on the transformative impact of Catholic health care in New York City. Through the cholera epidemic of the mid-19th century, to the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, the sinking of the Titanic, the AIDS crisis, and the attacks of 9/11, the hospital was a testament to the vision and labor of the Sisters of Charity, who founded, staffed, and administered the hospital with remarkable skill and devotion.

Play | Shakespeare's Julius Caesar: Historical Tragedy in the Park
This iconic Shakespearean tragedy follows the political conspiracy that led to the assassination of the Roman dictator Julius Caesar and Rome's subsequent civil war. Written by William Shakespeare. Directed by Jonathan Hopkins Cast: Louis Butelli, Amara James Aja, Katie Willmorth, Bryce Foley, Jonathan Minton, Noelle Franco, Petron Brown, Xueyun (Harry) Zhai. The theater supplies 100 chairs nightly for the audience. Those chairs get snatched up fast though, especially at the end of the run or on beautiful summer days, so organizers advise that audience members wanting to use these folding chairs arrive 30 minutes before the start of the performance. You may bring your own chair or something soft to sit on. The theater almost never cancel due to rain, but if necessary, it will post updates on Facebook & Instagram.
