Classical Music | Musical Adventure through Earth & Air

Acclaimed string quartet Brooklyn Rider present Earth & Air, the first part of their most recent commissioning and recording project, The Four Elements. This evening's program is focused on the elements of Earth and Air. The element of Earth is represented by Colin Jacobsen's folk-inspired A Short While to Be Here and Dan Trueman's propulsive Under My Feet & Up There, while the element of Air is represented by Andreia Pinto-Correia's mysterious Aere senza stelle and Henri Dutilleux's iconic Ainsi la nuit. Comprised of violinists Johnny Gandelsman and Colin Jacobsen, violist Nicholas Cords, and cellist Michael Nicolas, Brooklyn Rider's gripping performance style and unquenchable appetite for musical adventure have firmly established them as a singular force in the world of string quartets over their two decade history. There are two ways to access this event: 1. General Admission, first-come first-served. Just show up! 2. Fast Track opening the Monday before the event at noon.
