Park Walk | Women's Walk in the Park


This group brings together women from all walks of life to bond, exercise, and embrace the beauty of their surroundings. Hundreds of women of all different ages and backgrounds meet to simply go for a walk in Central Park. About 80% of the women show up alone, so feel free to give it a try! Walk locations sometimes change, so make sure to check the group's Instagram page @citygirlswhowalk stories the day before and on Sunday to confirm the meet/walk spot. You are welcome to bring your leashed dog.

Live music accompanied by spectacular sunsets over the Hudson River. Gentleman Brawlers perform psychedelic Afro-soul revival and indie dance. Dawn Drake & ZapOte is a female "Global South" ensemble which celebrates women in world music by incorporating Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms, pop and funk into a mix that is meant to make you move! With original lyrics that focus on love, empathy, environmental and social justice themes, the band offers a chance to celebrate life and create community through shared experience. A genre bender, ZapOte has a unique sound based on Dawn's musical influences which draw from Cuban salsa and timba, Haitian kompa as well as Congolese ndombolo and Nigerian Afro-beat.
