Experience Trains, a haunting and masterfully edited archival documentary by acclaimed Polish filmmaker Maciej J. Drygas. Crafted entirely from historical railway footage, this powerful cinematic collage captures the rhythm, movement, and human emotion that defined the 20th century.
Following the screening, join Drygas and Academy Award–nominated filmmaker Bill Morrison for a discussion on the art and ethics of archival documentary filmmaking.
Praised by the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) for its “magic of cinema” and by Cineuropa as “a meditation on the moral weight and responsibility of images,” Trains has captivated audiences worldwide. The film is now screening in the U.S. as part of its campaign for Academy Awards consideration in the Best Documentary Feature category.
