Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. If you love theater, then New York gives you an option to attend plays and musicals free of charge, or at deep discount. You just need to have information about it. Parade | The 7th Annual Dance Parade


Grand Marshals: Jacqulyn Buglisi (Buglisi Dance Theatre), Baba Chuck Davis (DanceAfrica), and Louie Vega (Vega Records), and 10,000 Dancers Under the 2013 theme Unity Through Dance, the parade unites dancers of all genres throughout New York City. Over 200 dance groups will showcase 80 unique dance styles down Broadway in a multicultural, rhythm-infused, magical display of movement, art and color. Styles as diverse as African, Balkan, ballet, belly dance, Bhangra, Bolivian Tinkus, cheer, hip-hop, house, Jamaican Dance Hall, modern, Morris, Peruvian, roller disco, samba, Tahitian, tango and zouk will be featured.

Family dances are held on select Saturdays, May through August, each celebrating a different culture’s traditional dances and folk music. No partners or experience necessary. James Reams & The Barnstormers play traditional bluegrass music laced with the old-time flavor of the great Bill Monroe, Reno and Smiley, and Flatt and Scruggs. Tunes are played on mandolin, fiddle, stand-up bass, banjo, and harmony vocals, and dance caller Eric Hollman leads the square dancing.
