Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Festival | World Ocean Festival


World Ocean Festival is a public event committed to raising the voices of people and organizations dedicated to protect the ocean in advance of “The Ocean Conference” at United Nations Headquarters in June. An Ocean March – boat parade – will be staged in the waterways of New York Harbor. The festival will: - be free and open to the public (no charge, no ticketing) - offer activities for all ages (e.g. crafts, product demos, virtual reality experiences); - feature conversations with the world’s leading experts in Ocean science, conservation and advocacy (to be announced) - offer views of the Statue of Liberty and the Ocean March as it rounds Governors Island mid-day.

Parade | Celebrate Israel Parade


In 1965, thousands walked down Riverside Drive in support of the young State of Israel. This impromptu walk evolved into the Salute to Israel Parade. It has become the world’s largest gathering in celebration of Israel attracting worldwide media. The Parade enables the tri-state community to celebrate in a non-partisan, apolitical show of unity with Israel. In 2011 it was decided to change the name of the Parade in order to focus on celebrating the vibrant and diverse country of Israel. The Parade features over 30,000 marchers representing many organizations. Hundreds of thousands enthusiastic spectators gather to watch American and Israeli community leaders and dignitaries, entertainers, artists, musicians, dancers, celebrities, floats and marching bands.

An in-depth look at the unique architecture and exquisite beauty of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House. Designed by famed architect Cass Gilbert and completed in 1907, the Custom House is a National Historic Landmark. The building’s interior splendor includes an elliptical rotunda with a 140-ton dome skylight designed by Valencia-born engineer Raphael Gustavino and murals by New York painter Reginald Marsh, as well as monumental marble arches and columns.
