You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Join the Municipal Art Society and its partners to share lessons learned from Hurricane Sandy and cultivate ideas for creating a more livable and resilient New York metropolitan area. The daylong event will feature a wide range of local area experts and community leaders as well as special guests from New Orleans who were instrumental in the recovery of their neighborhoods. With a mix of keynote speeches, panel discussions and break-out sessions, the goal of the event is to facilitate peer-to-peer learning among community leaders, civic officials, entrepreneurs, residents, and urban planning and design practitioners and spark a conversation about how to move forward from this devastating event-and prepare for the next one.

Dr. Ann Meyers and Laura Gould lead workshops to arm parents with information about the signs, symptoms, risk factors, and coping strategies of bullying. This 90 minute workshop focuses on parents who have children who are bullied or demonstrate bullying behavior, or are generally concerned about their child's susceptibility. Presented is an overview of the risk factors of bullying, the long-term implications, and the family environment which can potentially help diminish a child's susceptibility to bullying behavior or being bullied.
