A panel discussion and visual presentation of more than 50 artists' work responding to the silencing of women and the raising of women's voices, #MeToo #NeverthelessShePersisted #DontShutUp. Through interruptions, censure, violence, threatening behavior, both in person and online, women are silenced every day. It's time to ensure that women's voices are heard and valued.

With:

Katharine Bodde, Senior Policy Counsel at the New York Civil Liberties Union NYCLU specializing in gender equality and reproductive rights issues. She is the Chair of the Sex and Law Committee at the New York City Bar Association and teaches a course at Cardozo Law School on Reproductive Rights Law and Justice.

Brittany Brathwaite, MPH, MSW is the Organizing and Innovation Manager at Girls for Gender Equity (GGE).Girls for Gender Equity is an intergenerational advocacy organization committed to the physical, psychological, social and economic development of girls and women.

Joanne Mattera (pictured), artist, feminist and blogger, paints in a style that is chromatically resonant and compositionally reductive. She exhibits widely, maintains her popular Joanne Mattera Art Blog, curates regularly and won't be shut up.
