Soprano Christine Browning and pianist Marc Peloquin will present a program of vocal works, solo piano music by composer Jack Beeson, known for his operas. The concert will also present the world premiere of Beeson's revised edition of Leda for speaker and piano.

About The Performers
Pianist Marc Peloquin has performed at such venues as The Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, Town Hall, Miller Theatre at Columbia University, Merkin Concert Hall, Weill Recital Hall and Bargemusic . He has also performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C, The Chicago Cultural Center, The Gardner Museum in Boston and the American Academy in Rome.

Soprano Christine Browning made her Carnegie Hall Debut in December of 2018 and her European debut earlier that year with the Canto Festival in Zagreb, Croatia. In summer 2017, she was a Festival Artist with Utah Festival Opera where she covered the title role in Puccini's Madame Butterfly, the soprano soloist in Verdi's Requiem, and portrayed Maud Dunlop in The Music Man.

Jack Hamilton Beeson (1921-2010) was an American composer. He was known particularly for his operas, the best known of which are Lizzie Borden, Hello Out There!, and The Sweet Bye and Bye. His notable students include Charles Wuorinen, John Kander, Phillip Ramey, Alice Shields, Joan Tower, Harvey Sollberger, Michael Rosenzweig, Bright Sheng, Mark Birnbaum, and Richard Einhorn.
