City Walk | Historic Brooklyn Bridge Tour
On May 24, 1883, journalist Montgomery Schuyler said "It so happens that the work which is likely to be our most durable monument, and to convey some knowledge of us to the most remote posterity, is a work of bare utility; not a shrine, not a fortress, not a palace, but a bridge." This tour will tell the story of the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge, and examine its ever-present historical, technological, and cultural impact. Note: this tour is held early, as to avoid the massive crowds that the bridge continues to attract, 135 years after its completion.

Tour | Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House Tour
A tour of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, home of the National Museum of the American Indian in New York. Tour highlights include a discussion of the history of the site, architect Cass Gilbert, and sculptor Daniel Chester French; viewing the Collectors Office with Tiffany woodwork; Reginald Marsh murals; and the 140-ton Rotunda dome by Rafael Gustavino.

Party | The Secret City Solstice Celebration
A sparkly, wintery, magical celebration of the darkest night of the year and the ‘return’ of the sun. Expect a big, beautiful gathering of art, artists, performance, music and more. This year’s theme is Winter Garden, and the night will honor the things that grow in the most dire of circumstances, the surprising elements of life that sustain us during the darkness, and the eternal push to live, live, live. If you’d like to dress up, the colors are white and silver. We’re also making paper animal masks. This year’s Winter Solstice Celebration will be preceded by an intimate pre-party. Enjoy the champagne, hors d’oevres, a preview of the holiday bazaar table and first dibs on seats. Mix with the artists, mingle with the board, enjoy a bit of socializing before the show.
