Workshop | Rowing Along the New York City Skyline


Open to all and led by experienced coxswains, these outings take place in stable, traditional Whitehall gigs, offering a hands-on introduction to rowing, teamwork, and river navigation. Sessions include orientation and group rowing excursions lasting 1-3 hours. Participants assist with launching and cleaning the boats. Bring water and sunscreen. Life jackets are provided; a waiver is required for participation.

Concert | An Avant-Garde Icon's Steam on Glass and Contemporary Sound Explorations


The Krakow-based festival brings together boundary-crossing artists who blend genres and eras. Ukrainian duo Heinali and Andriana-Yaroslava Saienko reimagine the music of 12th-century composer Hildegard von Bingen in their album Hildergard, combining Ukrainian folk vocals, modular synthesis, and medieval motifs to reflect contemporary wartime experience. The evening culminates with avant-garde icon John Cale performing Steam on Glass, a set that merges noise, improvisation, and experimental soundscapes drawn from his decades of musical innovation.
