Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Park Walk | Bridges & Waterways of New York's Central Park Walk


This is a moderately paced adventure under, over, around and through many of the amazing architectural wonders throughout Central Park. Begin the walk at the southwest tip of Central Park South and zigzag our way up the eastern half of Central Park to The Harlem Meer at 110th St. Then circle back along the western half of the park and finish at Sheep's Meadow. Please bring water and lunch or snack for this fascinating 5-hour journey of approx. 8 miles. Rain or shine.

In the second part we will look at state and federal censuses, city directories, genealogical databases, and historic newspapers, in order to describe the lives of the people who owned and lived in those buildings.
