You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Concert | Hypnotic Grooves & Musical Surprises with Cross-Cultural Trio


Korean musician Sunju Park is a pioneering figure in the emerging genre of gayageum performance, blending Korea’s iconic traditional instrument with contemporary art forms. New York composer, saxophonist, and keyboardist Peter Gordon is best known for his genre-bending Love of Life Orchestra (LOLO), one of the first “downtown” bands that fused dance music with experimentalism. Conga player and percussionist Mustafa Khaliq Ahmed performed on disco classics by the legendary Arthur Russell, dance scores by Peter Zummo, and has been a longtime member of Gordon’s LOLO. Together, the trio will cross cultural and stylistic boundaries, creating hypnotic grooves and musical surprises.

Concert | "Transcendnetly Powerful" Inner-Mongolian Ensemble Brings Traditional Music in Conversation with Modern Rock Styles to the Plaza


A performance from Hanggai, an eight-member folk ensemble that mixes the ancient traditional art of Khoomei throat singing with contemporary punk, emo, and metal rock. By combining Indigenous instruments such as the two-stringed taobushuur lute and the horse-head fiddle with Western instrumentation like drum kits and electric guitar, Hanggai has crafted a sound that both remains true to Khoomei's UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage roots and feels freshly modern. Over the past 15 years, the band has toured on six continents and released seven albums, including their debut Introducing Hanggai, which Pitchfork called "transcendently powerful," and their most recent LP, 2024's Wheel of Fortune. This versatile group has also collaborated with The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and starred in the Chinese TV talent competition Sing My Song. There are two ways to access this event: 1. Concert | Hypnotic Grooves & Musical Surprises with Cross-Cultural Trio


Korean musician Sunju Park is a pioneering figure in the emerging genre of gayageum performance, blending Korea’s iconic traditional instrument with contemporary art forms. New York composer, saxophonist, and keyboardist Peter Gordon is best known for his genre-bending Love of Life Orchestra (LOLO), one of the first “downtown” bands that fused dance music with experimentalism. Conga player and percussionist Mustafa Khaliq Ahmed performed on disco classics by the legendary Arthur Russell, dance scores by Peter Zummo, and has been a longtime member of Gordon’s LOLO. Together, the trio will cross cultural and stylistic boundaries, creating hypnotic grooves and musical surprises.

Two sets by Chinese electronic duo TAIGA. Hailing from Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang, multi-instrumentalists Xi Leilei and Husile meld traditional ethnic sounds, instruments, and techniques--including Khoomei throat singing, the horse-head fiddle, and Tuvan doshpuluur lute--with a range of Western influences and contemporary production techniques to form their own psychedelic nomad soundtrack. TAIGA presents an hour-long amplified concert, followed by an hour-long Silent Disco. Amplified DJ set at 9:00 pm Silent Disco at 10:00 pm There are two ways to access this event: 1. General Admission, first-come first-served. Just show up! 2. Fast Track opening the Monday before the event at noon for all.
