Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. Concert | Tales and Songs from Croatia


CEC ArtsLink presents CEZNJA: BORN LONGING, tales and songs from croatia by Brooklyn-based singer Abena Koomson, known for her role as Funmilayo Anikulapo-Kuti in FELA!, and acclaimed Croatian visual artist Kristina Leko. This new piece stems from an earlier work by Leko, a 2005 film and photography project Amerika, which offered portraits of five elderly Croatian women living in Astoria, Queens. CEZNJA: BORN LONGING connects these women and others in the Croatian community with a diverse collective of musicians, storytellers, dancers, and art-makers through interviews, community gatherings, and performances. The project will culminate in a presentation at The Kitchen, with additional events planned in Queens, where many Croatians currently reside.
