Jazz | Junior Mance, International Jazz Hall of Famer


Junior Mance is an internationally celebrated jazz musician who has performed with jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Dinah Washington, and Lester Young. He was inducted into the International Jazz Hall of Fame in 1997. When not traveling, Junior can be found every Sunday performing at Cafe' Loup in NYC.

Park Walk | “Cross Park Promenade” Tour

In Feel...Form, four women engage in a psychedelia-inspired kaleidoscope that multiplies their experience and reflects both rigorous formalism and corporeal excess.

New York Classical Theatre's roving production of Twelfth Night recasts the beloved comedy's setting as fin de siècle New York. The company will lead audiences on Shakespeare's lively journey of mistaken identities, misguided lovers, and joyous celebration, recasting the play's setting to New York City circa 1900. Employing its signature "Panoramic Theatre" staging style, the company will escort audiences, pausing to hatch a confusion of plots and declare various passions against a backdrop of waterfalls, bridges, and shady groves.

Concert | Arieb Azhar, Pakistani Singer-Songwriter


Sharp eloquence, humanist politics, and mystic poetries are given a global voice by this singer-songwriter and his acoustic band from Islamabad, Pakistan. Defying easy categorization, Arieb Azhar’s mesmerizing baritone “encompasses about all the emotions life has to offer.” (PRI) He leads a quartet of musicians in an eclectic mix of urban and folk-based songs grounded in Sufi and other humanist poetries from across Eurasia. Azhar pays tribute to Irish balladeers, Croatian gypsies, Punjabi traders and ancient Sanskrit texts. This concert will be followed by an intimate artist conversation and talkback between Arieb Azhar and Rachel Cooper, Director of Cultural Programs and Performing Arts at The Asia Society.
