Concert | Mariami, Soul Chanteuse

“NYC-based singer Mariami breath[es] new life into the folk music of her native Georgia with a mix of reggae and modern R&B.” — Okayplayer Mariami makes lush, sexy slow jams that bridge the gap between the Eastern European liturgical music of her native country of Georgia and American R&B. Her rich, soaring vocals lend a day-glo-colored sonic palette, resulting in an altogether unique brand of hook-laden, adventurous pop that’s set apart by the unique folk flavor of her homeland.
