In response to pressing issues of human rights, justice, equity, inclusion, and climate change in contemporary life, the youth whose futures we serve have spoken clearly and passionately that they want to live in a world that is more equitable, just, inclusive, compassionate, and responsible. As rising professionals and world citizens, they are attracted to, and increasingly demand, opportunities for purpose-led careers in and out of the capitalistic enterprise. They likewise expect their educational institutions to prepare them for purpose-led careers that promote and sustain the greater good.

In this session, senior academic administrators speak about how they and their organizations aim to address this imperative from a managerial and organizational perspective that is capacity-building, empowering, socially relevant, and unflinching in its approach to social issues and required change. Panelists will share their perspectives on the hopes, needs, and challenges of internal stakeholders such as University employees and students – and the roles and responsibilities of external stakeholders such as the government, foundations, and local and global communities.
