Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Vojislava Filipcevic Cordes, discusses her book, The Politics of Sanctuary This book makes a powerful case for a more inclusive vision of urban citizenship--one that extends political life and belonging to undocumented immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees through the transformative practices of sanctuary.
