You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Dance Performance | Dance: Dirt and Daniel Holt


Daniel “The Grouch” Holt hails from Central Valley, Ca. He received his BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University, Spring 2011. While there, he was the director of a community based dance group, Guerrilla Dance, from '09-'11. Daniel now resides in Brooklyn, New York where he teaches dance, and heads his dance collective, Dirt. Since moving to the city, he has danced with Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup, Yin Yue Dance, Jaxon Movement Arts, and Dante Brown Warehouse Dance. He has performed at Joyce SOHO, Jacob's Pillow inside/Outside, Juste Debout 2013, and the New York International Fringe Festival, among others.

Join a conversation with award–winning documentary director/producer Steve James, best known for Hoop Dreams, his 1994 piece that followed the struggle of two inner-city Chicago boys to become college basketball recruits. Hoop Dreams won both a Peabody and Robert F. Kennedy Award. His 2011 film The Interrupters, which documented the efforts of anti-violence activists in Chicago’s impoverished, explosive urban neighborhoods, received the Independent Spirit Award, duPont Journalism Award, an Emmy Award, and was deemed “a hard wallop of a documentary” by New York Times film critic Manohla Dargis.
