This is the first ever public display of the multi-million dollar Shoshana Collection of Ancient Coins of Judea. It is described as "the greatest assembly of coins related to the foundation of ancient Israel ever offered." Among the more than 2,300 coins spanning 11 centuries is one of only two known surviving Year 1 (66 C.E.) prototype silver shekels valued at $750,000 or more, and the only known surviving Year 1 silver quarter-shekel also valued at $750,000 or more.
