Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. If you love theater, then New York gives you an option to attend plays and musicals free of charge, or at deep discount. You just need to have information about it. Dance Performance | Dance: Math Time by Kensaku Shinohara


Born in Sapporo, Japan, Shinohara started dancing and creating his own work while studying anthropology at International Christian University in Tokyo in 2004. After dancing and touring nationall and internationally with companies such as Nomade-s, Ginderman, and with his own company Team PUnchinello, he moved to NYC in 2009 to further his creative work. Trained in modern and contemporary dance techniques as well as improvisation, Shinohara has collaborated with artists such as Jennifer Muller, Tiffany Mills, Daria Fain, Darcy Naganuma, Philippa Kaye, Giada Ferrone, Lynn Neuman and others.

Concert | Hip-Hop: Jungle Brothers / Zhigge


Jungle Brothers is an American Hip-Hop group that pioneered the fusion of Jazz and Hip-Hop and also became the first Hip-Hop group to use a house-music producer. The group began performing in the mid-1980s and released its first album, Straight Out the Jungle, in 1988. In 2008, their single “What U Waitin 4″ was ranked number 88 on VH1‘s 100 Greatest Songs of Hip-Hop. Zhigge is a dance/rap group from New York whose members Kazo, Face, Prancer, Sound and Tonga had already made a name for themselves dancing in Hip-Hop clubs and appearing in videos by Special Ed, Public Enemy, YZ and others.

The Fitness Guru (aka Michael Feigin) is back in the park for Pilates Mat classes overlooking the New York Harbor. Learn to properly activate the muscles of your abdomen and back to create an incredible amount of stability in your torso. Pilates is designed to restore the natural curvature of the spine while rebalancing the muscles around the joints. A few notes: Registration begins at 6:30 pm each evening.
