You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Holly is a deliciously eccentric New York City playgirl determined to marry a Brazilian millionaire. George Peppard plays her next-door neighbour, a writer who is "sponsored" by a wealthy Patricia Neal. Guessing who's the right man for Holly is easy. Park Walk | (IN-PERSON, outdoors) Tulip Festival


The garden has close to 100 varieties of tulip, with examples blooming from early April to late May. In addition, small bulbs such as crocuses, snowdrops, scilla, winter aconite and grape hyacinths start to bloom from mid-March, and many daffodils, narcissi and hyacinths can be seen in April. Masks are required.

Tour | Monet's Giverny - A Home and Garden (virtual)


Claude Monet lived and painted in Giverny from 1883 to his death in 1926. He purchased a house and property and began a vast landscaping project which included lily ponds that would become the subjects of his best-known works. He began painting the water lilies in 1899, first in vertical views with a Japanese bridge as a central feature and later in the series of large-scale paintings that was to occupy him continuously for the next 20 years. Monet gained much of his inspiration from his gardens and believed it was important to surround himself with nature and paint outdoors.

Jurgen Flimm's haunting production of Beethoven's only opera brings the work's desperate plea for freedom and justice into the modern era, reminding us just how powerful and urgent its story is. Under James Levine's passionate leadership, Beethoven's score blazes, as does the superb cast. Karita Mattila is Leonore, the faithful wife who disguises herself as a man to search for her husband Florestan (Ben Heppner), unjustly imprisoned by his political enemy, Pizarro (Falk Struckmann). Rene Pape is Rocco, the jailor caught between conscience and duty. The event will streaming for 23 hours.
