One of the oldest free weekly events in Manhattan is Dixieland Jazz with the Gotham Jazzmen, which happen at noon every Tuesday. Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. If you love theater, then New York gives you an option to attend plays and musicals free of charge, or at deep discount. You just need to have information about it. Film | Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious (1946): Spy Film Noir with Cary Grant


The daughter of a convicted German spy is asked by American agents to gather information on a ring of German scientists in South America. How far will she have to go to ingratiate herself with them? Director: Alfred Hitchcock Cast: Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Louis Calhern, Leopoldine Konstantin Alfred Hitchcock was an English filmmaker who is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of cinema. In a career spanning six decades, he directed over 50 feature films, many of which are still widely watched and studied today. Known as the "Master of Suspense," he became as famous as any of his actors thanks to his many interviews, his cameo roles in most of his films, and his hosting and producing the television anthology Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955-65). His films garnered 46 Academy Award nominations, including six wins, although he never won the award for Best Director despite five nominations. A well-known figure of Classic Hollywood, Cary Grant was nominated twice for the Academy Award, received an Academy Honorary Award, and received the Kennedy Center Honor. In 1999, Grant was named the second greatest male star of the Golden Age of Hollywood by the American Film Institute.

Come on down and swing along to the best ragtime, stride, and jazz the Big Apple has to offer. “Charlie Judkins is the best performer of classic ragtime in the country!” - Terry Waldo, Ragtime Connoisseur Charlie Judkins is a practitioner of ragtime, jazz and blues piano. His piano playing has been in demand at various public and private events in the New York City area since debuting as a professional bar-room pianist in 2010. Currently, he works most often with singer and multi-instrumentalist Lauren Sansaricq (Miss Maybell) as a duo and in various trio combinations.

Director: Roman Polanski Cast: Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer, Maurice Evans, Ralph Bellamy Mia Farrow is an award-winning American actress, singer, and humanitarian. Farrow has appeared in nearly 50 films, and has won a Golden Globe and been nominated for multiple BAFTAs and a Tony. She's also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who advocates for children in conflict zones. John Cassavetes was an American filmmaker and actor. He began as an actor in film and television before helping to pioneer modern American independent cinema as a writer and director, often self-financing, producing, and distributing his own films. He received nominations for three Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, and an Emmy Award.

This event will showcase three outstanding short films that have achieved remarkable results at domestic and international film festivals. Following the screenings, audiences are invited to a Q&A session with the directors. “Bold Talk: Beyond Genre,” introduces three daring works that push the boundaries of short cinema. You Know, There Are Ghosts Under the Tree blurs reality and memory with an unsettling yet poetic sensibility, while The Sea on the Day When the Magic Returns—directed by HAN Jiwon, whose upcoming feature, Lost in Starlight, will premiere on Netflix—offers a lyrical animated meditation on imagination and wonder. Rounding out the program, The Daughter delivers a gripping exploration of family, inheritance, and unspoken ties.  All films featuring Korean dialogue will have English subtitles available.

Nuyorican playwright, actor, and puppeteer La Daniella presents the delightful, cartoonishly-twisted origin story of Gooey, an orphaned sorta mermaid making the best of the sewage-filled creek she calls home. With the help of G'wond'rLand radio, Gooey spends each day escaping her putrid reality into a world of her own creation: a world in which she's perfect, beautiful and loved. But when her radio sends her on a journey to G'wond'rLand Theme Park, Gooey comes face-to-face with a dozen oddball puppets who confront her with the truth about her dreams and how she came to be. Watch Gooey, a streetwise rat named Scabby, an animated suitcase, and many more gorgeously grotesque creations perform a wacky puppet musical about finding belonging and community. For ages 12+. There are two ways to access this event: 1. General Admission, first-come first-served. Just show up! 2. Fast Track opening the Monday before the event at noon.
