Discussion | Women’s Pay Equity: Getting Even

It is well known that women in the United States are paid, on average, 77 cents for every dollar that a man earns. Sometimes, this is a result of women getting paid less for the same work. In other cases, women are under-represented in higher-earning positions or take different career paths due to family responsibilities. The wage gap varies among women and is larger for women of color and women in particular sectors and occupations. This event to explore this gap between men’s and women’s wages. As part of the panel discussion for the event, key actors, including economists, government representatives, activists, and corporate leaders come together to share their experiences.
