You will leave feeling more flexible, relaxed, energized, with a mantra that you can carry with you throughout the week. Please bring a yoga mat if you have one, and they do have some if you need to borrow one for the class. Also bring a journal and something to write with. You will be writing a few times during the class, and if you prefer to sketch or want to do both, that is fine. Wear comfortable clothing, and feel free to bring a warm or cool drink to keep you hydrated (with a secure lid). All levels are welcome. If you have never done yoga you will be able to participate as well.

Workshop | Community Rowing


No experience is necessary though rowing does require some physical dexterity. Community Rowing events ... more >> are free sessions that include a basic introduction to rowing for first timers (safety orientation, rowing technique, and terminology) and of course plenty of actual rowing on the Hudson River. The rows take place in five-person wooden rowboats built on site. The rows last, depending on river conditions and crew experience, between one and three hours. Please arrive on-time as the crews will be assigned before 1PM. Bring extra water, a hat, and sunscreen as you will be rowing outdoors in the hot sun. Rowing is weather dependent and will be canceled for high winds, rain, or thunderstorms. All participants must sign a waiver and be able to climb a ladder. Every Sunday from June 10-October 21, 2018.
