Experience a Memorial Day-themed historic walking tour. The tour will be led by historian Miriam Berman and give visitors an insight into the history of Memorial Day in the Flatiron District. “From Decoration Day to Memorial Day” will feature fascinating stories about Decoration Day, as Memorial Day was called in the early 1900s. The tours will include a visit to the Worth Monument, which served as the main welcoming and viewing site for U.S. Presidents, foreign dignitaries, and local politicians who came to honor those who served their country in the war. Tour | Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House Tour


An in-depth look at the unique architecture and exquisite beauty of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House. Designed by famed architect Cass Gilbert and completed in 1907, the Custom House is a National Historic Landmark. The building’s interior splendor includes an elliptical rotunda with a 140-ton dome skylight designed by Valencia-born engineer Raphael Gustavino and murals by New York painter Reginald Marsh, as well as monumental marble arches and columns. Concert | Brazilian Sounds: Fabio Giacalone


The mix of cultures and experiences in his blood is both unique and remarkable. Being born in Brazil and raised in Italy gave Fabio a unique sense of rhythm and musicality. In 2012, Fabio moved to the United States to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts. While at Berklee, he had the chance to study and grow in a stimulating and refreshing environment that connected him to young musicians from all over the world. It also gave him the opportunity to work with remarkable teachers, such as Donna McElroy, Vadim Neselovskyi, Jeremy Ragsdale, Daniela Schaechter, Diane Richardson victor wooten john clayton, danny morris and danny harrington. In August of 2014, Whispering, his first demo reflecting his taste for jazz, was recorded in Boston. The tracks are featured Cosimo Boni on trumpet, Jaehun Kang on piano, Fabrizio Sciacca on bass, and Kazuhiro Odagiri on drums. In May 2016 fabio graduates from berklee college of music with a bachelor degree in jazz vocal performance. with 3.89 GPA. In July 2016 he participates in the world reknown and prestigious shure montreux jazz voice competition 2016 with famous singer angelique kidjo as president of a jury full of celebrated personalities of the music indistry and famous jazz musicians. He wins the third prize in the city of Montreux (Switzerland).
