With: - Reverend Joseph Jones, Faith Based Coordinator for Programs and Initiatives, NYC Commission on Human Rights will talk about the legal issues connected with hate speech, how to recognize and report hate crimes as a victim or witness. - Art Eisenberg, long time Legal Director of the New York Civil Liberties Union will speak about free speech and differentiating between a hate crime and hate speech. - Rabbi Marisa Elana James (pictured), co-chair of Congregation Beit Simchat Torah's "House of Peace," a Jewish-Muslim outreach program, will speak about the possibilities of creating stronger Jewish-Muslim engagement in response to the increase in hate crimes.
