Play | Twilight: Los Angeles, Tony-Nominated Play Written and Performed by Pulitzer Prize Nominee Anna Deavere Smith (virtual, streaming for 24 hrs)


Twilight: Los Angeles is about the 1992 Los Angeles riots. The play is composed of a series of monologues by real people connected directly and indirectly to the riots. Anna Deavere Smith chose the texts of the monologues and the subjects from interviews that she had conducted with more than 300 individuals in the process of researching the play. Disrected by three-time Emmy Award winner Marc Levin. Twilight: Los Angeles was nominated in 1994 for a Tony Award for Best Play. It won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show. The original Broadway production opened in 1994. The show contains graphic violence, mature content.
