Tour | Budapest: The Heart of the City and The Elisabeth Bridge Live (virtual)


This part of the city offers rich architecture, history, wonderful sights. You will start the tour at Vorosmarty Square, a very popular spot both for locals and tourists, then you will stroll down the busiest pedestrian shopping street where the tour guide Zsuzsi will take you inside her favourite souvenir shop with Hungarian specialities such as spices, wines and different artisan products. Afterwords, your guide will show you the city's oldest church, which was almost dislocated during the reconstruction of the Elisabeth Bridge. Bruce Davidson: Outsider on the Inside brings together more than a hundred photographs by legendary Magnum Photos member, Bruce Davidson. Throughout his career, Davidson has used his camera to record the stories of communities at the periphery of mainstream society. In the historic Brooklyn Gang (1959), East 100th Street (1970), Subway (1980) and Central Park (1995) photo-essays, the American photographer demonstrates his readiness to shape behind-the-lens relationships with his subjects into unapologetically honest depictions of human nature.
