Tour | Flatiron District Walking Tour

A journey through the vibrant neighborhood, viewing some of the City’s most notable landmarks, including the New York Life Insurance Building, the MetLife Clock Tower, the Appellate Courthouse and the famous Flatiron Building. Tour guides: Miriam Berman, historian and the author of Madison Square: The Park and Its Celebrated Landmarks and New York in Words and Images, a book of New York postcards. Fred Cookinham, historian, author of The Age of Rand: Imagining an Objectivist Future World. Mike Kaback, a native New Yorker, has an unquenchable enthusiasm for everything about this city. No advance registration is required. This tour repeats every Sunday.

Tour | Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House Tour

A tour of the Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom House, home of the National Museum of the American Indian in New York. Tour highlights include a discussion of the history of the site, architect Cass Gilbert, and sculptor Daniel Chester French; viewing the Collectors Office with Tiffany woodwork; Reginald Marsh murals; and the 140-ton Rotunda dome by Rafael Gustavino.

Festival | Three Kings Day

New York's premiere Latino family theater welcomes families from near and far to join in on the festivities that will include a free gift giveaway, as well as a meet-and-greet with the Three Kings to the first 1,000 children to arrive. There will also be live music by Los Pleneros de la 21 and The Mariachi Academy of New York. Free samples of food and beverages will be provided by Goya. Three Kings Day, also known as El Día de los Reyes Magos, is a traditional holiday celebrated mostly in Latin America and Spain, marking the the 12th day of Christmas and end of the holiday season. The holiday's roots refer to the biblical adoration of baby Jesus by the Three Kings, who traveled through the desert for twelve days bearing gifts for the newborn. It is for this reason, it is customary for those who observe the holiday to receive their gifts on January 6th - instead of Christmas.

Classical Music | Afternoon Organ Meditations

Forty-five minute organ meditations celebrating the diverse repertoire of the pipe organ. The program features the great repertoire of the organ on the 101-rank Pipe Organ built by Herman Schlicker and the 5 stop chamber organ built by Taylor and Boody Organ Builders. Classical Music | Organ Recital

Organist James Wetzelis the director of music and organist of the Parish of Saint Vincent Ferrer and Saint Catherine of Siena. He formerly served as the organist and choirmaster of midtown’s Church of Saint Agnes and as organ scholar of the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, where he continues as an assisting organist. Active as an organist and continuo player, he has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, the American Classical Orchestra, the Collegiate Chorale, the Oratorio Society of New York, and the Orchestra of Saint Luke’s.
