Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Gallery Talk | Artist Talk: Hyon Gyon


Hyon Gyon is based in New York, U.S. She received her B.A. from Mokwon University in Korea and her M.A. and PhD from Kyoto City University of Arts in Japan. She had one-person and group exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum, the Carnegie Art Museum, the Museum of Kyoto, Kyoto; the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo; Kyoto Art Center, Kyoto; Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, San Francisco; and Shin Gallery, New York. Hyon Gyon’s work is included in, the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the High Museum of Art, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, and the Kyoto City University of Arts, among others. She has received several fellowships and awards, including the Asao Kato International Scholarship, the Kyoto Cultural Award and the Tokyo Wonder Wall Competition Prize.

Classical Music | Chopin: A Program of Music and Words


With Marjan Kiepura, Pianist and Jane Knox-Kiepura, Lecturer. Marjan Kiepura was born in Paris, France and was accepted to the Juilliard School Preparatory Division. He studied with Jeaneane Dowis and later coached with Menahem Pressler. His development as an artist has led him to focus on the music of Frederic Chopin. He has given concerts in the U.S. and Europe of this composer's works. His own Polish ancestry has made Chopin a favorite choice of repertoire. Referred to as the "Gatekeeper of the Heritage" by The New York Theater Wire; Kiepura has embarked on a second career to preserve the legacy of his famous parents, the Polish tenor, Jan Kiepura and the Hungarian soprano, Marta Eggerth. He and his wife Jane Knox, have produced CD reissues and have given symposiums for the Ohio Light Opera company. Kiepura has also produced numerous radio programs which resonates among singing aficionados and music students worldwide. He was recently named member of the International Advisory Board for the Loren L. Zachary Society for the Performing Arts. Jane Knox-Kiepura was born in Melbourne, Australia and grew up in Spain, Portugal and England. She attended Bromley College of Advanced Technology in London and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree – Magna Cum Laude from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She was elected a member of Alpha Chi and gave the Salutatorian Speech at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Awards included “The Gold Cross Award”, for academic excellence.
