You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. Park Walk | The Bridges & Waterways of Central Park Walk


This is a moderately paced adventure under, over, around and through many of the amazing architectural wonders throughout Central Park. Begin at the southwest tip of Central Park South and zigzag our way up the eastern half of Central Park to The Harlem Meer at 110th St. Then circle back along the western half of the park and finish at Sheep's Meadow. Please bring water and lunch or snack for this fascinating 5-hour journey of approx. 8 miles.

Parade | Magnolia March in Honor of Victims of Violence


Famed tapper Max Pollak announces a New York MAGNOLIA MARCH and invites the public to join this traditional New Orleans jazz funeral procession to honor the memory of victims lost to recent violence throughout the United States and around the world. Known as a Second Line Parade, it will be led by prominent jazz musicians, artists, and dancers. Rooted in African-American, Latin and Caribbean cultures, the heart of this unique New Orleans tradition is the jazz band. The musicians are followed by a "second line" of celebrants who transform a funeral procession into a joyous celebration of life by dancing along with the parade, creating a sense of community among participants. The Magnolia March will be a public expression of sympathy to mourn the loss of victims of violence and promote peace in our communities.

The Joe McGinty Seven with members of The Losers Lounge perform selections from the Music Division's historic Brill Building lead sheet collection, with commentary by division chief George Boziwick. New York’s famed Brill Building on West 49th Street and Broadway was the epi-center for some of the greatest pop songs of the 1950s and 1960s. Performance | Shadow Puppet Troupe of Wat Bo presents Sor Neakabas (The Magical Arrowhead Dragon)


Sbeik Thom (shadow puppetry) is an ancient and sacred form of Cambodian theater traditionally performed on ceremonial occasions. Performances of Sbeik Thom feature puppeteers and dancers manipulating large-scale leather shadow puppets against a lit screen while accompanied by a pinpeat ensemble. Sor Neakabas is a tale from the Reamker, Cambodia’s beloved version of the Ramayana epic. Under threat of extinction during the Khmer Rouge regime, this Sbeik Thom performance is not only a New York City premiere, but also a testament to the strength of a remarkable nation, culture, and community of artists.
