Concert | Kat Edmonson, Singer-Songwriter

Kat Edmonson’s major influences are her mother’s Great American Songbook record collection, listening to 50′s and 60′s music on Oldies 94.5 in Houston where she grew up and the black and white films she watched as a child. These influences come to life in her album The Big Picture, released last year, which “tours us through bygone eras reinterpreted by a newly metropolitan outlook” (Austin Chronicle). Edmonson wrote or co-wrote all but one track on the album, showcasing her flair for clever songwriting, intricate arrangements and behind-the-beat jazz vocal phrasing.

City Walk | Brooklyn Bridge Ghost Tour

An icon of New York City and one of the world's most famous man-made structures, the bridge is must-see attraction on most visitors’ Big Apple itineraries. A walk along its pedestrian promenade, with its wonderful views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and Brooklyn—not to mention the bridge's Gothic arched towers—is priceless. It truly lives up to its nickname as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Yet behind all its physical beauty and charm lie darker truths. The bridge has been bad luck for some and a curse for others. Mysterious illness to a stampede to faulty construction and outright murder have claimed the lives of dozens, including the bridge's designers.
