A gallery talk and walkthrough of the new exhibition. Fünf Räume presents new, site-specific works by emerging Austrian artists, each transforming a distinct space in the gallery. Other | Stickball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony 2011


Born in the neighborhoods of New York nearly 100 years ago, stickball transforms the city's streets into ball fields, manhole covers into bases, and stoops into bleacher seats. Come and meet legendary players and view video clips of their exploits at the Stickball Hall of Fame annual induction ceremony. Since 1977 the Stickball Hall of Fame has worked to preserve and continue the game and recognize distinguished players and community activists.

Workshop | Friday Evening Drumming Circle


Improvise on African, Latin and Caribbean rhythms at the drumming circle. The gatherings are led by master drummers MAGUETTE CAMARA, PETER HAWES, MARY KNYSH and PAMELA PATRICK. After beginning with the teaching of traditional drumming patterns, and establishing a steady heartbeat pulse, participants are then asked to contribute their own rhythmic patterns as part of a call-and-response chanting and drumming.
