Talk | Homelessness and Affordable Housing: An Ethical Imperative

With: Marc Greenberg, executive director of The Interfaith Assembly on Homelessness and Housing, and graduates of the Life Skills Empowerment program. The Assembly is a coalition of religious organizations and individuals working with and on behalf of homeless, poorly housed, and at-risk individuals. It was founded in 1986 at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in NYC and addresses homelessness in two ways: by helping those who are homeless recover from the trauma associated with their homelessness and begin to rebuild their lives; and by working with our broad base of coalition partners in supporting the establishment of public policies that will produce and preserve housing affordable to homeless and lowest income New Yorkers and those that will provide needed services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
