An Unflinching Look at the Ferguson Uprising.  When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri. Grief, long-standing racial tensions and renewed anger bring residents together to hold vigil and protest this latest tragedy. Empowered parents, artists, and teachers from around the country come together as freedom fighters. As the National Guard descends on Ferguson with military grade weaponry, these young community members become the torchbearers of a new resistance. Filmmakers Sabaah Folayan and Damon Davis know this story because they are the story. Whose Streets? is a powerful battle cry from a generation fighting, not for their civil rights, but for the right to live. 102 min.

Following the “threads” of suturing, we are led through diverse realms: the history of surgery; the language of sewing; plant and animal fiber production; medical archeology; amputation techniques; women’s medicine; stitching instruction and the making of samplers; gendered roles in medicine; research ethics; and so much more. Kriota Willberg shares her experiences and discoveries as the Artist in Residence exploring the history of stitches and ligatures—surgical techniques that also bear relevance to art and craftsmanship. Kriota Willberg's comics are seen on online sites such as Intima, Broken Pencil, 4 PANEL, and in the anthologies Sub Cultures, Awesome ‘Possum, and the upcoming Graphic Canon. Willberg transposes medical imagery of herself and friends into needlework as a form of portraiture. She teaches anatomy for artists at a variety of institutions including the New York Academy of Medicine Library, the Center for Cartoon Studies, and the Society of Illustrators.

Now with a new chapter on the chaos in the Trump administration, Chris Whipple's book is an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at the White House Chiefs of Staff, whose actions - and inactions - have defined the course of our country. The chiefs of staff, often referred to as "the gatekeepers," wield tremendous power in Washington and beyond; they decide who is allowed to see the president, negotiate with Congress to push POTUS's agenda, and -most crucially - enjoy unparalleled access to the leader of the free world. Each chief can make or break an administration, and each president reveals himself by the chief he picks. Through extensive, intimate interviews with eighteen living chiefs (including Reince Priebus) and two former presidents, award-winning journalist and producer Chris Whipple pulls back the curtain on this unique fraternity.

A new collection of Lou Reed’s rare early poetry, culled from the performer’s archive is brought to life by family and friends. At the age of 28, Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground’s (one of the most influential bands in rock, underground, and alternative music) lead singer — took a hairpin turn in his creative life: he quit the band, moved home to Long Island, and began writing poetry. The resulting work of that period — much of it never published — has been relegated to an obscure chapter in the life of one of America's most uncompromising voices. Until now. Do Angels Need Haircuts?, published this spring by Anthology Editions, shares for the first time this mostly-unpublished and rarely-seen work.
