Dance Performance | Bal Des Femmes: Encounters Dance Presents a Global Performance (Zoom)

This piece choreographed and directed by Gisela Quinteros portrays the connection of the feminine energy to the earth and nature throughout the four seasons. The inspiration for this development was a strong need to connect to nature and continue to move amid uncertainty and the circumstances. The beautiful women from the company facing their own challenges and going through a wave of an unknown horizon in real life due to the pandemic made this process very palpable as they continue to find ways to move along in different scenarios with strength, vulnerability, real emotions and a deeper connection to themselves, enduring the challenges. As life continues into ever changing cycles, they adapt, transform and enjoy their feminine power in the most simple gestures as well as the most complex ones. The music composed and played by Allan Greene completely suited the piece and is full of elements that make it unique, during the process, both choreography and music developed simultaneously and then merged together.
