Concert | Medieval Carols by Candlelight


Immerse yourself in the sounds, sights, smells, and tastes of 14th century England in this midwinter candle-lit carol service. Medieval carols, in both Middle English and Latin, are performed by Concordian Dawn with period instruments. Carols are sung by the assembled company in both Early Mondern English and Latin. Bible readings are read in Middle English. Followed by a reception. You must be fully vaccinated to attend, but face-coverings are optional. If you feel inclined to come in medieval attire, please feel free to do so!

Discussion | The History of Antisemitism: Gentleman's Agreement (online)


In their presentation "Gentleman's Agreement: Hollywood's Stand Against Anti-Semitism," documentary director Cecilia Peck and film historian Claudine Stevens will bring to life the struggles and achievements of creating the groundbreaking Oscar-winning film. Seventy-five years ago, Gentleman's Agreement bravely crossed a line to become a critically acclaimed, top-grossing film that exposed antisemitism in New York and Connecticut. Cecilia will give personal insights into her father, Gregory Peck, and his commitment to the film and the world of cinema. Claudine will discuss the background of the film and reveal inside stories about the adaptation of the screenplay from a novel that had its roots in Nazi Germany and was a protest to actions of the United States House of Representatives.

Concert | All-Star Musicians Jamming Out


The Return Of Jonny Rosch & his All-Star Friends Band, featuring Steely Dan's long time guitarist Jon Herington; Mick Gaffney, guitarist for Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and more; Van Romaine, drummer for Kansas and Deep Purple; Leslie Mendelson, guitarist and vocalist with Bob Weir and The Who; and Conrad Korsh, bassist for Rod Stewart and Hall & Oates. Johnny Rosch was the lead singer/front man of the Blues Brothers Band. He also leads his own band of floating musicians -- known as Jonny Rosch and Friends. His band members are made up of a rotating group of top New York sidemen. Jonny has been a mainstay on the music scene on New York City's Upper West Side. He has regularly played a clubs like Penang, the P&G Bar, 78 Below and the Triad, attracting a loyal following of fans along the way.

Tony Pham (Butterfly) is a heritage Buddhist, facilitator, and healer that occupies the intersection of queer and BIPOC identities. Pham is a second-generation Vietnamese American whose parents arrived in the United States as refugees from war. Tony goes by Butterfly in spiritual spaces where they steward practices rooted in compassion, indigeneity, and sacred lineages. He is a student of Lama Rod Owens (Vajrayana/Tibetan Buddhism).
