Classical Music | Musician Hailed By The New York Times And More (In Person and Online)

Jeremy Rhizor, violin; David Dickey, oboe; Arnie Tanimoto, viola da gamba; Sarah Stone, cello; Marc Bellassai, harpsichord. The Galant style was all the rage in 18th-century London, attracting musicians from all over the continent. One of the epicenters of this musical craze was the Bach-Abel series headed by its namesakes, Johann Christian Bach and Carl Friedrich Abel. This program will feature works by the famed Hanoverian duo. Gold medalist of the 7th International Bach-Abel Competition, Arnie Tanimoto is equally at home on the viola da gamba and baroque cello. Described by The New York Times as a "fine instrumental soloist" he has performed and recorded with Barthold Kuijken, the Boston Early Music Festival Ensemble, and the Smithsonian Consort of Viols.
