City Walk | The Audubon Mural Project: A Spring Holidays Walk


Take a Spring holidays walk through this amazing project. 1-2 miles slow walking for 2.5 hours with many stops for looking. 35 murals of North American birds in the Harlem neighborhoods of Hamilton Heights and Washington Heights, where John James Audubon lived. The project is designed not only to help us appreciate the birds' beauty, but also to make us aware of the climate change challenges they face. Also visit Audubon's impressive gravesite in Trinity Church Cemetery. Steady rain cancels.

Spring is a-bloom! Welcome the season of awakening and sunshine with a timely fun-filled scavenger hunt. To mark the season and commemorate the ship's intercontinental crossings, this scavenger hunt challenges people of all ages to find illustrations of flowers hidden throughout the decks of a historical three-masted cargo ship. The flowers we'll be searching for are illustrations of blossoms from countries Wavertree visited in her impressive 35-year sailing career. Those who find all the flowers in the hunt will even receive a small prize!
