Another example of an event that you can attend all year round on weekdays is Federal Reserve Bank Tour, which takes place every week day at 1 pm (but advanced reservations are required). You can take at least 13 free tours every day of the year, except the New Year Day, July 4th, and the Christmas Day. If you are classical music afficionado, you can spend whole day in New York going from one free classical concert to another. Hike | Garrison-to-Manitou, NY Hike


A linear hike of 10 miles on forested rolling hills. Trails on The Osborn Loop, Appalachian Trail, with a descent from Cunada Hill into Manitou. On a second leg we follow Mystery Point Road into the Manitou Nature Preserve. A visit to the old Outward Bound estate, with paths on the high rimmed edges of the Hudson River. Return is from Manitou on the 4:26 pm southbound train. A moderate pace on climbs. Bring lunch and water.

A multi-neighborhood tour of the Lower Manhattan area. Opening Reception | Lisi Raskin's Recuperative Tactics, a Site-Specific Environment


Recuperative Tactics is an immersive installation reconstructing Raskin’s 2013 experience of traveling in Afghanistan. By building on the physical remnants of previous works, leftover materials, and discarded objects, the work suggests histories compounded into new form. Suturing found materials into an architectural palimpsest, Raskin transforms the gallery into the site of an attempted reconstruction of memory, riddled with the complicated cyphers of an outsider’s account of the vestiges of war.

Concert | Composers Concordance: All About Japan


This concert will feature traditional instruments of Japan such as taiko, shakuhachi, and hichiriki, combined with rock music and martial arts as part of this multi-genre event.
