The Museum celebrates the creativity of individuals whose singular talents have been refined largely through personal experience rather than formal artistic training. The museum's collection includes more than seven thousand works of art from four centuries and nearly every continent--from compelling portraits and dazzling quilts to powerful works by living artists in a variety of mediums. Performance | Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812: Electro-Pop Musical Adaptation of War and Peace Section

There's a war going on out there somewhere, but behind the walls of New York City's premier social club, everyone celebrates the arrival of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 for one weekend only. With chandeliers and caviar, the war can't touch anyone here. From the celebrated, award-winning composer Dave Malloy, this electropop opera based on a scandalous slice of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace is a sweeping story of love, redemption, and scandal. Natasha Rostova arrives in Moscow to await the return of her fiance from the front lines. When she falls under the spell of the roguish Anatole, it is up to Pierre, a family friend in the middle of an existential crisis, to pick up the pieces of her shattered reputation. Written by Dave Malloy. Directed by Emilio Cerci. Cast: Michael Caizzi, Marcus Cruz-Santiago, Christian Leigh, Felicia Josey, Maura Dempsey. Please be advised that this production includes the following content: Sounds of gunshots and abstracted violence.
