For Women's History Month, sculptor Barbara Lubliner will give an illustrated talk and hands on workshop. She will share about figurative sculptors that have inspired her giving highlights of historic, famous, as well as some little known women sculptors. She will give an overview of sculptures depicting female figures and women through history to set the stage for participants to experiment making their own expressive figure.
New York sculptor Barbara Lubliner moves fluidly between performance art, works on paper, and sculpture both large and small. Her art practice is a confluence of art and life, each twist and turn driven by the desire to use current life concerns as a springboard for creating thought provoking art that engages the public.
