In another special two-date engagement, Grammy nominees Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer return, this time with a new mash-up of creative minds with Hammerstep. In this first installment, families and audiences of all ages will participate in a live dress rehearsal and interactive workshop with the artists. Eggar and the ensemble will bring traditional music and innovative live beats with hip-hop flair together with Hammerstep’s evolved take on Irish step dance. Hammerstep is a young dance troupe comprised of award winning dancers from the worlds of Irish step and hip-hop. From traditional roots spring innovative new sounds and moves, integrating technology with dance and and putting live musical performance in a whole new light. Dave Eggar and members of his ensemble have performed and toured with artists like Josh Groban, Evanessence, Ja-Rule among others. Dave was recently nominated for a Grammy Award for his arrangement and composition of ItsBynne Reel on Kingston Morning which was previewed here at Target Free Thursdays last spring. Hammerstep was founded by Garrett Coleman and Jason Oremus. Boasting awards from National to World Championships and leading roles in Riverdance the pair have a vision to overcome cultural and socioeconomic barriers by looking at their art form in a new way. Fusing Irish step with tap and hip-hop, sound and light, they reinvent the dance show experience.

White Hand Society weaves an entertaining tale of the life, times and friendship of these two larger-than-life figures and the incredible impact their relationship had on America. Peter Conners has gathered hundreds of pages of letters, documents, studies, FBI files, and other primary resources that shed new light on their relationship, and a veritable who’s who of artists and cultural figures appear along the way, including Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Thelonious Monk, Willem de Kooning, and Barney Rosset. The story of the "psychedelic partnership" of two of the most famous, charismatic and controversial members of America’s counterculture brings together a multitude of major figures from politics, the arts, and the intersection of intellectual life and outlaw culture in a way that sheds new light on the dawn of the 1960s.

This eclectic band uses a wide variety of acoustic instruments, to interpret traditional pieces and play original compositions. Port o’ Monkeys' inspiration comes from many sources including Flamenco, American folk, Basque, Celtic, Armenian, Persian, and Gypsy. Some of their music could be called street music, the music of fiestas; other pieces are more directly meditative. The common denominator is a shared musical spirit, a sense of integrity and joy in our common humanity and aspiration. On this occasion Port O’ Monkeys will feature Chris Wertenbaker, Jeff Greene, Paul Harris, and Don Hayward,
