Tour | Queens Waterfront Walk (Part 1)


12 to 13 miles. Walk the Queens Waterfront from Long Island City to Flushing; at least as much as we can get to. Pass Socrates Sculpture Park, Steinway Mansion and Lent-Riker-Smith homestead (circa 1654). Some drop off points. Important bring water and lunch.

Program Arnold Schoenberg, Sechs Kleine Klavierstücke, Op. 19 Joshua Fineberg, Veils Béla Bartók, The Night's Music from Out of Doors, Sz. 81 Lei Liang, Seven Rays of the Sun from My Windows Franz Liszt, Bagatelle ohne Tonart Liszt, Nuage gris Liszt, Rhapsodie espagnole With pianist Joanna Chao, who concertizes throughout the United States and abroad. She has soloed with Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, New Britain Symphony, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, The College of New Jersey Orchestra, Fremont-Newark Philharmonic, and California Youth Orchestra. She has also been invited to appear in the New York Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble Series, the Sarasota Music Festival, and the Manchester Music Festival. She is currently on the piano faculty at The College of New Jersey, and ear-training faculty at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division and Conductors Retreat at Medomak.

His performances have been at the invitation of numerous chapters and conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the Victoria Bach Festival, the Houston Masterworks Chorus, the Washington National Cathedral, and the Conferences on Worship and Music at Montreat Conference Center, NC. His concertizing throughout the United States has met with high acclaim, while his performances abroad have been enthusiastically received in Paris, Chartres, London, and throughout Scotland, Romania, and Hungary.
