Hike | 45th Great Manhattan Bridges Walk


Duration: 13 Hours. Distance: 34 Miles. The main group will walk over every pedestrian-friendly bridge ... more >> around the perimeter of Manhattan Island (~31 miles). A ~10% faster group will do the same around the perimeter of Manhattan Borough (~34 miles). Starting at the George Washington Bridge Bus Station, proceed clockwise around Manhattan and end with the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn into Manhattan. There will be one ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway for the longer route. Bring or buy lunch. There will be a few short breaks. Feel free to eat during the breaks or while walking. *NOTE: There is no slow group. Both groups will try to finish in 12-13 hours. If the number of people is small, they will try to stick together as one group.

Her work has been exhibited at Fourteen30 Contemporary, Portland, OR; Capital, San Francisco; Either Way, Los Angeles; Adobe Books, San Francisco; and Bear Ridgeway, San Francisco. This exhibition marks Knecht’s first exhibition in New York City. The artist will show eight new paintings. NICOLA L (born 1937, Mazagan, Morocco) currently lives in The Chelsea Hotel in New York City. She studied at the Académie Julian, followed by the École Nationale Supérieur des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Notable exhibitions include “The World Goes Pop” at Tate Modern, London; “A Modest Proposal” Hauser & Wirth, New York; The Liverpool Biennial; “artevida,” Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; “elles@centrepompidou, Paris; among others. Her first institutional survey was held at The Sculpture Center (LIC, NY) in 2017.
