Sloatsburg to Tuxedo; 7.5 miles at a moderate pace. Level terrain, rock-strewn trails and mild hills. Paralleling Pine Brook, cross the turbulent cascade. Later lunch on a rockshelf at the banks of Lake Sebago. Dutch Doc Trail Shelter and Claudius Smith Cave are points of interest on the trek to Tuxedo. Bring lunch and water.

Festival | NYC Unicycle Festival


NYC‘s Unicycle Festival rolls across New York City on Labor Day weekend. The growing popularity of this quirky pastime, combined with the City‘s initiatives to encourage cycling, make this a timely opportunity to celebrate the unicycle. Last year‘s festival brought over 300 riders to the Big Apple, even more one wheelers are expected for this year's event. Activities include races, competitions, exhibitions, and a variety of unicycle sports including unicycle basketball and hockey. World-famous riders will display their skills, and members of the public will have the opportunity to try one—wheel riding.
