Conductors James DePreist from Juilliard and Imre Palló from Sydney share conducting duties. DePreist leads the Sydney Conservatorium Orchestra in Dello Joio’s Meditations on Ecclesiastes. Then Palló takes over and leads both orchestras in American composer William Schuman’s American Festival Overture and then the Juilliard Orchestra in Australian composer Richard Mills’ Sequenzas/Concertante before DePreist conducts the combined forces in Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.
