Erika Hibbert’s newest body of work, produced over the past 12 months, offers a compelling view of her extensive series of portraits in ink on waterproof paper. Her subjects range from imagined people, to loved ones, strangers, public figures and revered artists. The artist limited herself to two recurring small and large formats, with a standard composition comprised of a single head floating in an abstract arena of space patterned with textures and lines. Within these tight peripheries, the variety and distinct personality of each portrait is all the more startling. See link for COVID protocols.
