Olmsted and Vaux designed the North Woods to replicate the forests of the Adirondack Mountains with its crystal streams, calming cascades, and rustic bridges. This scenic and meditative walk is right in New York City's backyard. Tour will be approximately one hour.

Hike | Garden Hike


Stroller/child friendly. 1+ miles, slow pace, as long as you want to linger. Stroll down walkways lined with wisteria and azalea, through the esplanade where any children can run around and roll in the grass. See large carp and many turtles to amuse the kids. Eat in excellent outdoor cafeteria. No pets, food or drinks allowed in the Garden (except baby food). Heavy rain cancels.

Trebien Pollard presents The Black Out, an excerpt from Vegan Chitlins and the Artist Formally Known as the N-Word. This work addresses the issue of captivity as a state of fate, coincidence, and/or choice. DraftWork Curated by Ishmael Houston-Jones, Danspace Project's DraftWork series hosts informal Saturday afternoon performances that offer choreographers an opportunity to show new works in various stages of development. Performances are followed by discussions and informal receptions that allow the artist and the audience a greater perspective on the other's viewpoint.
